Exhibitionist Narcissist

...or Sharing is Scary

I found it's hard to explain to the people that I truly care about of why they should be wary of what they share online.

They do things just because they can, oblivious to the consequences of their action and how it might affect others.

Deriving fun and perceived happiness through ignorance and thoughtlessness, compounded through ripple effects by like-minded exhibitionist narcissist collective, they justify everything by using peer pressure as an excuse.

"Oh, everybody's doing it. I don't want to get left behind."

Off they go to their favorite social media to share stuff with acquaintances, complete strangers, sneaky corporations and the rest of the world. Personal and private stuff that their own mother don't even know of, all laid bare for your viewing pleasure.

Day to day activities updated by the minutes. Exposing to the whole world what one do where and when with who and how. An open invitation for all to ...

"Why are you so paranoid? I just want to have fun."

Sure. It's all fun and games until somebody gets hurt.

They say sharing is caring. They mislead.

I care. That's why I don't share.

"No you're not. You're just jealous."

Ladies and gentlemen, I rest my case.
